Senior Recreation Center Newsletter - October 2018

The October Wylie Senior Rec Center Newsletter for adults age 55+ is now available on our City web page.

This month we will be savoring the food from Royal Chinese Buffet, enjoying a lighter look into politics at the play "Red Hot Patriot", perusing local art at Edom Arts Festival, marveling at all the State Fair of Texas has to offer, and traveling back to the 1800's at Plano's Heritage Farmstead Museum.

Standard in-person and online registration starts Wednesday, August 8, 9 am at Wylie Recreation Center and Wylie Senior Recreation Center. Standard Registration continues until activities are filled. A discount of 15% is applied to Rec Pass Holder activity registrations during Standard Registration on most FALL/WINTER 2018 activities.

Use your online account tied to your Rec Pass to receive the full discount. Some activity discount exclusions apply. No transaction fees!

Family-Friendly Blacklight Event Sells Out!





90 guests enjoyed an unforgettable night of rock climbing, face painting, GaGa Ball, Nine Square, and giant games under glowing blacklights with friends and family on Saturday, July 21 during Blacklight Climb and Game Night. The annual event is part of the month-long celebration of July-only activities for National Park and Recreation Month.

Save the date! Blacklight Climb and Game Night returns July 20, 2019.

Early Bird Online Registration for Summer 2019, and National Park and Recreation Month activities start May 1, 2019.

This spring Ally Holmen, and Brittany Egan earned a USA Archery Level 1 Instructor certification from the National Field Archery Association, USA Archery, and the Archery Shooters Association.
