Cox 3rd Graders Make Rain {Wylie Recreation in WISD}

Cox Elementary 3rd Graders were introduced to several City of Wylie Departments, today.  The Recreation Division joined co-workers from the Library, Planning, Building Inspection, Code Enforcement, Engineering, Public Works, Parks and Fire for the presentation.

Recreation Supervisors, Anthony Cook and Annika Sacco introduced programs and activities held at Bart Peddicord Community Center and Wylie Recreation Center.  Annika then led the entire group through a series of timed finger snaps, claps and stomps to create the sound of "rain."  We handed out Activity Menus that include our classes and events.

It was great talking to the the third graders about the fun activities like Karate and the Climbing Wall, available through Wylie Recreation.
