Senior Rec Center Newsletter - February 2019

The February Wylie Senior Rec Center Newsletter for adults age 55+ is now available on our City web page.

Socialize with friends and get a workout with our new group, Wednesday Walkers. Every Wednesday at 12pm we will set out for a one mile walk around Community Park, weather permitting.

Our new drawing class is sure to get you creativity flowing. Led by a professionally trained artist, receive basic step-by-step instruction that will enhance your fine motor skills and leave you with a beautiful work of art.

This month's day trips will take us to enjoy a meal at Cracker Barrel, experience the excitement of hockey at an Allen Americans game, learn to decorate a cake and sip on some tea at the historic Brown House, and tour a replica of the Munster Mansion from TV.

Happy New Year from Wylie Senior Rec Center! Start your year by joining some of our new and exciting activities.

Let us help you reach your fitness goals during Fitness Month. With your membership, enjoy use of our fitness room, get some fresh air with friends during Take A Walk Wednesdays, get your BMI Tested, and enjoy a healthy snack on Fresh Fruit Fridays.

December has a lot of fun events and activities that are sure to get you in the holiday spirit, including our Christmas Celebration, wrapping workshops, and bow making classes.

This month our day trips will take us to taste the food from Culver's, watch a Christmas stage comedy from One-Thirty Productions, visit the Dallas Arboretum's 12 Days of Christmas, and take a chance on a mystery movie.
